Pietrasanta

Named Aristocrat City from 1841 by Leopoldo II Lorena, Pietrasanta, the Little Athens of the Versilia region thanks to the high concentration of artists that decided to put down roots here, represents an appealing little town rich in cultured and elite tourism.

What to see:
The elegant historic center where visitors can find art galleries, fashionable boutiques and prestigious enotecas, the old workshops of the town, including the Studio Cervietti on via Sant’Agostino, where you will likely encounter artists like Botero and Mitoraj, the Museo dei Bozzetti, the Natal House of Giosué Carducci, the Versilian Archeological Museum "Bruno Antonucci", the Astronomic Observatory "Spartaco Palla", the Virtual Museum of the Sculpture and Architecture.

How to get it:
By car: Take SS1 Aurelia direction Pietrasanta.
By train: Frequent trains link Viareggio to Pietrasanta in less than 10 minutes.
By bus: The bus Company F.lli Lazzi – Vaibus leaves from the Grand Hotel Principe di Piemonte and allow you to get the town in few minutes.

By bike or on foot.
